Reiki

The Japanese word 'Reiki' means 'Universal Energy'. Reiki is a simple and natural technique enabling 'Ki' (energy) to be transferred through the hands of the practitioner, who has received training from a Reiki Master and been 'attuned' to Reiki.

Reiki sessions promote a calmer response to life's challenges and encourages and supports positive personal choices. Reiki is a non-invasive therapy whose purpose is to treat holistically and restore homoeostasis (the body's natural balance).

Please note Reiki is never a replacement for necessary conventional medical care, but used sensibly, it can be a valuable resource that can help improve health care outcomes. For more information about Reiki, please visit the UK Reiki Federation

Reiki with Dancing in the Rain

A Reiki session is carried out with the recipient lying down or if preferred sitting, in a comfortable and peaceful environment. There is no need to remove any clothing as Reiki passes easily through material (including plaster casts).

When you arrive for the first session there is a short health questionnaire to be completed and an opportunity to ask questions. An hours session will incorporate at least 45 minute treatment time. Most people will feel a warmth coming from the practitioners hands when receiving Reiki and will feel very comfortable and relaxed. Some people find they drift off to sleep during a treatment.
