Nordic Walking Fitness Sessions
Nordic Walking Fitness Sessions are designed to give you an overall body workout that incorporates the various elements of fitness - cardiovascular, strength, flexibility and balance.
The 75 minute fitness sessions start with a gentle warm up to get the body prepared for the session. Following the warm up, we have a Nordic Walk. You are encouraged to walk at the pace that is right for you so that you can gradually build up your cardiovascular fitness in a safe and effective way.
During our walk, we will stop at intervals to do some resistance and flexibility exercises returning to the start point to finish off with some gentle stretches.
How to get Started
To be able to get the most of the Nordic Walking elements of the classes, it is important to know the correct pole technique.
We invite everyone to a free introductory session so you can learn the basic Nordic Walking technique. You will have the opportunity to learn the rest of the technique during the group sessions.
Once you have completed the introductory session, you can join in the Nordic Fitness Classes as a 'Group Member' or a 'Group Guest'.
If you decide to join the group as a 'group member', you have a guaranteed place on the session(s) you choose (subject to availability).
'Group Membership' is £30 for six sessions, payable at the first session.
To become a 'group member', please check availability with Jan and then book your first place at https://dancingintherain.gettimely.com/book Jan will then book you in for all subsequent sessions.
To change or cancel your class, please give at least 24 hours notice to allow Jan to offer the space to someone else.
Classes are £6 a session and are subject to availability. 'Group Guests' are placed on a waiting list. As soon as a place becomes available, 'group guests' will be offered a place in order of their place on the waiting list.
Please do not use the booking system, you will be automatically booked on when you have accepted the place offered.
