Nordic Walking Fitness Sessions
Nordic Walking Fitness Sessions are designed to give you an overall body workout that incorporates the various elements of fitness - cardiovascular, strength, flexibility and balance.

The 75 minute fitness sessions start with a gentle warm up to get the body prepared for the session. Following the warm up we have a Nordic Walk. You are encouraged to walk at the pace that is right for you so that you can gradually build up your cardiovascular fitness in a safe and effective way.

During our walk, we will stop at intervals to do some resistance and flexibility exercises returning to the start point to finish off with some gentle stretches.

Nordic Social Walks
We aim to offer a social walk each month. These walks last approximately two hours and take in the beautiful Wirral scenery. The walks start with a gentle warm up and finish with stretches. The rest of the time is an opportunity to practice your technique and have a natter with the other members of the group.

How to get Started
To be able to get the most of the Nordic Walking elements of the classes, it is important to know the correct pole technique.

We invite everyone to a free introductory session so you can learn the basic Nordic Walking technique. You will have the opportunity to learn the rest of the technique during the group sessions.

Once you have completed the introductory session, you can join the 'Dancing in the Rain Nordic Walking Group' giving you a guaranteed place on any of the walks available. Alternatively, you can choose to be a group guest and pay as go. (For prices, please click here)

Please note that there is a maximum number of group places and at times there may be a waiting list. In this case, you will be offered a place on the walks as a group guest, as and when they become available.
